Northside Graphics bring another UK print award to Northern Ireland

‘SME of the Year’ PrintWeek 2017 Awards

We are thrilled to announce that Northside Graphics has won the accolade of SME of the Year at the prestigious UK wide PrintWeek 2017 Awards. The competition was fierce and we didn’t expect to win so we are absolutely delighted with this achievement. It means so much to us because the amount of hard work our team puts in is immense. This latest honour is Northside Graphics’ fourth industry award in three years.

The ceremony, held at London’s Grosvenor House was hosted by Radio 4’s Miles Jupp and saw Northside Graphics bring home the award in our first year of entry. The 20-strong PrintWeek judging panel consisted of print buyers and respected industry experts. In the SME of the Year category they were looking for businesses who could demonstrate growth as well as considerable investment in technology and in people.

Northside Graphics opened its doors in 1988 with the aim of providing a professional, reliable digital printing service to people in Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland. Now, nearly 30 years later, we are recognised as Northern Ireland’s oldest and largest digital printer.

Our determination to constantly source and install cutting-edge technology has seen Northside Graphics become industry leaders in automation and workflow. We have four HP Indigo digital presses operating as part of our SmartStream production system. SmartStream allows us to simultaneously track every job from order to print. This means we can recognise potential bottlenecks early so that we can avoid any problems or delays; maximising efficiency and cost-effectiveness. That’s great news for our customers and one of the reasons Northside Graphics has become Northern Ireland’s largest digital printing company.

The PrintWeek awards panel were extremely impressed both by our dedication to continuous improvement and in how we utilise technology to enhance customer experience. However, this award could not have been achieved without the staff who operate the technology. We only employ people who we believe share our genuine passion for print and then we train them until each person is an expert in their field.

That we’re regularly recognised with UK awards not only shows us that we’re going in the right direction as a company but it gives our customers confidence in our service and peace of mind in their print supplier.

Northside Graphics is based in Belfast and offer an extensive range digital and large format print. A full product range can be found on www.NorthsideGraphics.com and you can get an instant quote or more information on 028 9022 2111.

We made the Digital Printer Awards Shortlist

Northern Ireland’s oldest and largest digital printer shortlisted for another award!

More great news for Northside Graphics. Last month we were delighted to be shortlisted for the PrintWeek 2017 SME of the Year award and today we’re proud to announce that we’re a finalist at the SME Business Initiative at the Digital Printer Awards 2017. Nominated for two of the UK’s leading print industry awards is, of course, a great honour for us, showing how far we’ve come since 1988, but it’s also great news for our customers right across Northern Ireland who trust us with their print.

So, what’s the SME business initiative award based on?
The judging panel made up of independent industry professionals, all experts in their fields, looked at various criteria including diversification and efficiency initiatives, among others.

The judges recognised that there’s more to being a great printing company than delivering great print. They looked at what steps printing companies were taking improve their business in areas like new product development, efficiency improvement, and staff training programmes for digital printing.

Fortunately, digital printing is what we are known for. It’s what we’ve always done and it’s what we do best. Through the use of HP Indigo Presses, we can offer the highest quality digital print currently available; and it seems the judges agree as they’ve deemed us worthy of making the shortlist!

We are looking forward to celebrating in style at the industry’s only comprehensive digital printing awards on 9th November in London.
